she is clothed in strength.
my team leader Paige.
but it’s not the kind of strength that is drawn from this world. don’t get me wrong, she probably one of the most fit women i know. she can lift 100lbs logs and carry wheelbarrows of lots of heavy wood back & forth for hours.
today her & i we’re on pole-saw duty. we cut and pulled, cut and pulled, cut and pulled. eventually i got frustrated because we were cutting really HIGH branches and i always dropped the blade on the ground after a cut. i did this for a bit & i think Paige could see that i was becoming overwhelmed. she then took the saw, said i was doing a great job, and asked if i wanted a break. we both knew i did so she took over for a while so i could get water. she sawed for a good 10 minutes. though her forehead was dripping with sweat, she put her arms in the air, her mind focused on the next branch, and she persisted.
dang.
this woman.
not only is her body & mind strong. but her heart is too. she draws up this strength from her Father. she teaches me that strength isn’t only found in physical aspects.
strength is found in vulnerability.
strength is found in compassion.
strength is found in intentionality.
strength is found in rest.
strength is found in the commitment to the well being of others, without conditions.
this woman.
she is clothed in so much strength. she stewards this gift so well, with the end goal to give her Father every single ounce of glory. her love for Him is evident in the way that she teaches & listens & encourages us so well.
this woman.
