here’s 17 things I’ve learned for the 17 days I’ve been here ;))
- walking 3 minutes to the nearest bathroom in the dark is tough
- “life with God is like a bucket shower, you’re either all in or all out”
- pen pals can end up living close
- thin trees can hold a lot more enos than we think
- world race coffee isn’t the worst (1 cream, 1.5 sugas for me)
- daddy long legs LOVE to be your roommates
- Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year where you eat apples & honey to celebrate and welcome a sweet year
- JB & Chance’s new song “Holy” slaps
- the most broken people in the Bible partnered with God and the game changed.
- jeans that fit everyone are so fun to share!!!
- sleeping in a room with 30 other people can be just a bit stressful (but so sweet)
- “We have freedom to fail forward, we are becoming.”
- you never realize how much you love your sister until facetime is the closest you feel to her
- we can have super close and intimate friendships while still setting boundaries
- Georgia weather has a mind of its own
- “many times we have a desire for the ‘good’ outcome from the Lord, whereas we really just need to lay it all down to Him” (including the outcome)”
- going to the Father without an agenda can be the most freeing thing anyone could experience.

Coffees are like friends – some are stronger than others – but all of them have benefits – they keep you going!
We are all broken at some point – we look to God to put us back together!
Good Luck – I look forward to watching your journey! –

That’ll preach Marissa! Loved this blog about the squad, your shout out to home, and life at AIM w the Lord!
Your Coaches
Marissa, I’m a list maker myself and LOVE bullet points! You’ve already learned some very worthy stuff there in 17 brief days. I’m still learning about leaving that outcome to the Lord – that one is a lifelong lesson. Keeping all of Squad C in prayer…thanks for sharing.
