what’s up ppl!! as you know i start off pretty much every blog post with a huge THANK YOU and this one is no different!! to every single person who has donated thus far, i am filled with nothing but pure gratitude because of your kindness. we have some ways to go but i am resting in the full assurance that God is good and He will provide.
now onto updates about the race !! (ps do i sound like a weatherman?? lemme know in the comments :))
a few nights ago our squad got an email saying that the Leadership Team at AIM (who i love so dearly) have decided to go ahead in the contingency plan they have created in case COVID-19 prohibits us to travel. That being said, we have been given the coolest oppurtunity of participating in a 3-month-long discipleship training course full of squad bonding, missional living, leadership development, and my favorite…. CAMPING!! Then, in January we’re hopeful that we’ll be able to travel internationally for 6 months and finish the race.
now i know that this isn’t the great world race that you might’ve been dreaming up for me, but it sure is the one God was dreaming. before our plans changed, i was SO excited to travel to different countries and share the good news of Jesus with “people who need it”. these past few weeks, the Lord has taught me that the people here need it now more than ever. in the darkness of disease and racial tensions in America, we must be bearers of the Light.
sure, the Lord saw Corona and how much travel plans would change, but He also saw the hate, the evil, the brokenness of America and just happened to know some crazy teenagers who are ON FIRE for the kingdom!! His kingdom come His will be done! This place with such heartache and such a thirst for grace is about to get showered with the goodness of God in the form of hundreds of kids who love Jesus. My how the Lord works in wonderous ways!! If you change your perspective from “how boring this is for me” to “how great will this be for the kingdom of God and the people of God!” then everything changes.
the night that i got the email about our changes I was reading in 2nd Corinthians 1:9 and it read
“but this happened, not so that we’d rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that He will continue to deliver us”
Like wow!! we have such hope in that! The same God who delivered us from death is with us and for us wherever we go (including America). Praise to the one who goes before us! I am so so excited to see where He’s gonna take us this fall! Please continue to be praying for me, my squad and our leadership team. feel free to reach out as ask me any & every question you have! thank you thank you x a billion.
to God be the glory
