Heyy! Howdy! Hi! As most of you know i’m already in Gainseville, Georgia, where i’m starting the World Race journey this fall. We’re all sleeping outside in our tents which we set up on the first day. & by “we” i mean MY SQUADDD GAP-C !!!!!! It’s full of 33 men and women who seek to glorify Jesus in all that they do & love the people around them as He has commanded us. Plus they’re such a fun bunch to laugh and do life with!

New people and new relationships has just been one of the changes i’ve been experiencing here. Others are physical changes like

  • showering with a cold bucket of water & a cup in a small shower stall

  • sleeping on the ground in a tent for a month (baby scorpions & all)

  • only using the restroom in porta potties

  • walking across a wet grassy field to literally go anywhere in the morning

  • & filling up my water bottle 20 times a day because Georgia is HOT

My life is looking different, my family is a bit bigger, and my home isn’t a comfortable air conditioned house anymore. But thankfully i’m learning that home is not a place, it’s in the arms of the Father. Wherever He is and His children are, there is a HOME. A place where brothers & sisters can laugh and talk and encourage each other to be better disciples of Christ. A place where team leaders and squad leaders (who are more like big sisters) can come alongside us, call out the good, and still refine us by pushing us closer to the Father. Home is a place where squad coaches (grandma&grandpa) can share their wisdom with us, speak life into us and our futures, and truly exemplify what it looks like to walk with the Lord in everyday life. Home is in the arms of the Father.

We’re here to expect change, refinement, and some hardships. But praise God that we’re also here to experience intimacy with Him, closeness with our squad (aka. fam), and learn to live on mission to bring heaven to earth. We’re here to love and grow as one, just as we would do at home. I’m beyond thankful for the family that the Lord has given me in C-Squad and i’m pumped to draw nearer to Him with them.

Thank you all SO much for all of the prayers and for following along! I’m about $3,100 away from meeting my final goal PRAISE GOD!!!! You can always click the link at the top of my blog to donate, but i also have venmo & paypal :). Please be continouslly praying for me & my fam, and for us to be bearers of the Light as heaven invades earth.

From my Home to yours,

Marissa
