hey there friends & supporters!

to say its been a crazy few weeks would be an understatement. The past few have been full of family, fundraising, travel, and so many sweet friends! With that being said i’m over the moon excited to announce that i’m at about $9,500 <— PRAISE  GOD!!!!!!  We’ve still got some ways to go but i’m fully confident that the Lord will provide everything in His time. With that being said, onto some words!!

In December i was on the facebook page World Race Buy and Sell (HIGHLY recommend to future racers!!) and I saw a post from a woman living in Hawaii and she said that she’s selling her pack to anyone or she’ll give it to a future racer for free, all they did was have to  pay for shipping!

A world race friend of mine texted me and said i had to message her asap, so i did. I told her about how i was going on the race and thanked her a ton, sent her my address and asked how / where i should pay her for shipping. then she said something i never wanted to forget (so i wrote it in my notes app, of course)

“overwhelmed by Gods grace and love and kindness towards me, the lady who sold me her world race backpack just said she would ship it to me FOR FREE and all she asks is to be sent blog posts about my trip! like what?!?!?!?!! that’s $400 saved! hallelujah for the God who sees me and helps me!!”

The fact that she was giving it to me for free was so sweet & unexpected (those things can cost a lot btw). But the fact that she paid for shipping too was downright undeserved grace and kindness, you know, the kind that can only come from God.

When going into a season that might seem chaotic or stressful, like fundraising $15,800, finding that kind of grace can be hard.

But the Lord was good to me.

Straight outta the gate He showed me that He would provide, cause He’s a good God like that :). He showed me that i wouldn’t need to carry it all on my own. He showed me that He was there in the beginning and he’ll be there in the end.

I hope that that woman knows just how big of an impact she made in my life just because of her small act of obedience. The Lord has been good to me through her & that big ole backpack.

I pray that whatever season you’re in you’ll recognize those moments of grace that the Lord has given you. Feel free to reach out to me if you ever wanna chat!!

All my love,                                                                                                                 -Marissa
